Love this place. We celebrated our 25 year Anniversary here for a week. Great cool weather and beautiful mountains. Just love the rustic charm of the cabins. Friendly staff and gated security a plus. Love the local wineries and distilleries and of course the beautiful mountains. There is so much history here in Virginia and of course we had to visit some battlefields and museums. Definitely will return to this location.

We have been traveling there every year since 2020. Most recently, we noticed the really nice coffee machine in the lobby was no longer there. The ambiguous "resort fee" of $25/day seems excessive and the fact there was some sort of wifi ongoing maintenance overhaul going on and we weren't able to access wifi in our cabin 5 of the 7 days and there used to be an indoor pool and that is gone now. The staff are nice and the scenery beautiful, but with the wifi issue and the resort fee, it definitely dampens my enthusiasm for the place.
