Good thing I didn't read all the glowing reviews about pro coaching ahead of time, or I would have hesitated to take the team up on the "learn to ski" offer for total newbies for fear of embarrassing myself. As it was, my 11 year-old daughter and I spent the most epic 1.5 hours on Chisholm lake today, and to my amazement were skiing most of the time despite our utter lack of prior knowledge or (in my case) athletic ability. They REALLY know how to teach all levels. WELL worth the drive from the DC area. Seriously, if you've been toying with the idea of trying water skiing - do it, and do it here. They'll have you skiing and having fun in no time.

Visited here today to have our 15 year old granddaughter learn to ski. No Corey or Kuz, but our instructor was Topher. Excellent instructor, perfect water conditions, and positive reinforcement. Highly recommend!

If you are an hour away, drive extra. If your more than that, crash in the cabin or the lodge. Your welcome.
I visited the Bumpass Ski Club for the 3rd time today to hang out with the team at Peace, Love & Waterskiing, and it won't be the last. I live an hour due north of of the lake, and my 3 options for approach are just beautiful country roads, most with speed limits, and one cuts straight through the middle of the massive Lake Anna. As you roll through the farm and start downhill, you see about 50% of Chisolm Lake. "Lake" is pushing terms here, its a ski training meadow with extremely conveniently gathered water built for shredding. Park on the right at the logs in front of the pro shop, get out and say hi the crew, hit the restroom.
After suiting up in the most colorful spandex and neoprene legally allowed to purchase in the state of Virgina, stroll down to the boathouseappotamus for battle. There are specifics that you want to listen to about the course and boat ops, and then your up. 1st pass boat buoys come quick, be ready.
Then you get the data. Corey and Kuz do a masterful job of evaluating and adding or tweaking as needed. They take what you bring and build on it.. I've brung that for a while so as a more seasoned(old, out of shape, bad habits) skiier, this is critical. The word "fun" isn't just a tagline, its the mission. Until they install the full bar&grill on site, grab 2 Bad Dogs at the gas station on the way out.
Btw, everything you need is very well built on their website, including lesson bookings and payment, shop gear and without selling your data and without an app. These guys(and gal) are for real.

What a location! Private lake to learn to waterski. Staff is literally world class top performers. They teach and coach from very beginner to the very best skiers .

Best ski school on the East Coast!! If you just want to have fun hit Coble or one of the dozens in FL. But if you really want to improve your skills reserve a set or three with Corey Vaughn or "Kuz" (Mike Kuzukiac). You won't regret it!!!!

Corey and Kuz are two excellent skiers and amazing coaches. They are unique in their ability to quickly assess the level of a skier and deliver in simple terms one or two key things that can help that specific skier improve and progress maximally. But the real magic of this place is the culture and vision that Corey has created. Come here not only to improve your skiing, but to become part of the waterskiing community. 5 stars for sure!!

Amazing experience! Corey is a wonderful teacher, his team was a great support! Loved doing and watching water skiing. Still long way to go but, I started my steps under the right guidance!
