Description
We offer trail rides at our facility and at the local Lake Anna State Park for riders of all experience levels. Rides at our facility are on a well-shaded, wooded trail. State Park trail rides are typically two hours or longer, and are also on a wooded, well-shaded trail.Plan on wearing at least close-toed shoes for your protection. Helmets are provided for you. Young children are welcome, bring the whole family!

I visited Lake Anna for a family vacation and I wanted to continue to ride. I contacted Sarah at Colchester Equines and she was very flexible and able to schedule me in for, not one, but two lessons while I was in town. She is a great trainer and gave me a lot of good tips to advance my riding and adjust my form. Her horse, Hollies Surprise, was extremely well trained and mannered and was a joy to ride. Highly recommend Colchester Equines for anyone looking to improve their riding and have fun in the process.

Did the hour long trail ride and had a great time. First time riding horseback and the staff was professional and informative. The horses we rode were named Rose and Chance and they were wonderful!
