We had the pleasure of finding a wonderful family owned business this past Saturday afternoon. John and Sherry have a comfortable and inviting place to enjoy their drinks and their company. Excited to return with family and friends.

The Owners and Staff are friendly and know what they are doing. Lots of great drinks in the tasting room. I love their Mable Bourbon.

This is the first review that I am sad to write. We really had a good time a Hill Top on our first visit. My dog, Sgt. Boudreaux, really enjoyed relaxing in the environment as well. The gentleman behind the counter was nice. Unfortunately, this visit was a great disappointment and colossal time waste, as they a good distance away. This time, we came for a tasting and to pick up a few bottles, but was told that Boudreaux was not allowed inside. Something to do with the time of year. Maybe they were expecting a lot of people? It is a bit small, but it was pretty empty when we arrived. There is no mention of this rule on their web page, either. They actually state they are dog friendly, under 100lbs, in their rules. Maybe it is more disappointing, because I was looking forward to sitting at the little bar and hearing more about the distillery. The long drive to get out there.
Edit* After reading the ownership's reply, I am forced to reduce my rating. The hositle attitude towards honest feed back is disconcerting, as well as the personal attack, calling the my feedback "looking for something to complain about". I still don't think they understand the problems and the disappointment a customer experienced and it sounds like the could not care less. A simple, sorry about your experience, we are changing our rules because x, we will update our web site, would have gone a long ways. To a customer, an establishment calling itself dog friendly means dogs are allowed inside. But instead, we received conflicting reasons and personal attacks.

Used to go here to support local business, but now all I can say is save your money. Jack Daniels makes a variety of similar quality products and the ABC Store staff is not anywhere near as arrogant or rude as Hill Top's.
