The Silo house is amazing. My family and I stayed for five days this fall. This is so much more than a cozy stay. It is a beautiful space where the owners have dedicated a piece of themselves to the property and this specific home. Everything was so thought out and truly a remarkable experience from start to finish. Ashleigh is responsive, accommodating and does an amazing job with all aspects of the property. Mike has built amazing structures and maintains a high level of quality in his work. There are farm animals, ducks, a beautiful lake and so much to explore. Our kids loved the tree house, farm store and of course Mabel. The town of Louisa is only 10 minutes away and offers groceries, restaurants and shops. The only thing we wished that we had done differently is stay longer. If you are looking for a restful retreat, plenty of space to explore and all the quality comforts of home you have found it in this Airbnb. Looking forward to returning as soon as we can.

Such a nice find. We enjoyed our stay very much. The owners are very nice and accommodating. I hope to go back and stay in the other properties as well. We stayed in the airstream camper.

The log cabin made for a perfect stay and was very well equipped and comfortable. The lake is peaceful and inviting and our kids enjoyed taking one of the many boats out to explore. The entire property is beautiful and charming and we enjoyed the spontaneous visits from the resident pets. This is truly a storybook destination!

This is truly the most magical place you will ever find to stay. My wife and I had our wedding here last week and we rented out the whole property for a long weekend. Several family members and friends were able to stay in the various lodgings and we honestly couldn’t decide which one was the favorite. The cabin is super central and such a nice base camp spot with the best kitchen. The silo barn is incredibly well built and so beautiful. The airstream is precious and very cozy. The tugboat is just unreal and so much fun. The farm store on site is a perfect gathering spot and there are games and treats aplenty! The family that owns this property is so lovely and welcoming, Ashleigh especially is an amazing host. All of them are so helpful and kind! We felt like we got to stay at a summer camp with all of our favorite people and it was just perfect. We will definitely be back to take the place over again soon 😊 thank you Ashleigh, Mike, Mabel and family for everything!!

What an incredible weekend at Lake Glen Haven! Our home away from home was the Lakefront Retro Airstream and we absolutely loved it! It had everything we needed for our stay and our hosts were thoughtful enough to surprise us with delicious fresh eggs from their chickens. We loved walking the trails, sitting by the fire every night, having coffee each morning by the lake, and getting visits from the ducks and Mabel, the owner’s sweet dog. Lake Glen Haven is such a special place. Thank you, Mike and Ashleigh, for a wonderful weekend to remember. We can’t wait to return!

My family had a wonderful stay at the Silo House on Lake Glen Haven. The house itself was stocked with everything needed to make the stay comfortable and fun! The swimming pond was a blast, my girls spent hours swimming and jumping off the dock into it. My family enjoyed feeding the farm animals, kayaking on the lake, exploring the trails, and playing in the game barn. We were able to meet the owners, Mike and Ashleigh, they are very accommodating and truly exceptional. They have the sweetest goldendoodle my family fell in love with, she would come to visit us throughout our stay. Thank you for an excellent family vacation, we cannot wait to come back in the future!

RUN do not walk or wait to book a trip to Lake Glen Haven. This was our second trip back to The Silo House and it couldn’t have been more tranquil.
The moment you turn into the property, you’re met with quiet nature, a vibrant green backdrop, a sleepy, languid lake and Mabel your on site furry concierge.
Ashleigh and Mike have created a getaway that truly gets you away. From the bog filtered swimming hole that rivals any crystalline pool, to the melodic songs of peepers and frogs that quiet the constant chaos of day to day responsibilities buzzing about, this serene home away from home will calm and reset the tightest wound bodies.
We look forward to many more trips to this stunning sanctuary.

My family and I stayed in the log cabin for two days, it was the perfect woodsy getaway. Cannot recommend LGH more!

We have stayed at Lake Glen Haven many times over the years. We have made it a tradition to come at least once a year. The lake is secluded and perfect for relaxing. When I get away, my favorite thing to do is sit in a chair with a drink and do nothing. There's plenty of spots to do this. (Sitting on a chair looking out at the lake in the morning with a coffee, or sitting by the firepit with a whiskey looking up at the stars at night are always a must)
There's plenty to do if you want to get out of you chair and be active as well. The lake is great for kayaking, fishing, stand up paddle boarding, and swimming. I also like to put my life jacket on my legs upside down and just float there. There's also some great walking trails if you want to explore the woods.
Each rental is awesome and has it's own charm, but our favorite is the silo house. Its has a private pond tucked away behind the house that is just magnificent. It's great swimming and jumping in this clear water. CANNONBALL!
Our kids wanted to stay in the pond most of the day. It was tough to get them out. Our 3 year old did love seeing the goats, ducks, and other animals though. She even got to feed them.
I always feel refreshed and reset after coming to Lake Glen Haven. I can't recommend it enough! The owners/hosts are great too and are easy on the eyes! If you have not been here yet, make a point to book a visit!

My family loves going to Lake Glen Haven! We’ve stayed in most of their truly unique lodgings and are always amazed and how well thought out each spot is. Mike and Ashleigh are exceptional hosts and have created an oasis perfect for families and those just looking for a peaceful and unique stay. There is plenty to do and we will continue to go back! We can’t get enough!
