Beautiful, local, serene 187 acre impoundment surrounded by a large natural buffer zone.
    Free to launch and picnic.
    NO gas powered motors.

Please note: there are NO facilities, no vault or Porta Johns, and NO trash cans.

PLEASE pack out your trash and keep this area as nature intends for all of our community.

We kayaked the length of the lake. We saw and heard several bird species, but were surprised that we didn't see or hear any evidence of Osprey.

We also saw lots of beaver and muskrat activity. I saw my first muskrat feeding platform, so cool.

Let's hope the proposed large scale construction project will not 🚫 come to fruition.
It stands to forever destroy this serene and vital natural area.

After paying for a permit to fish this place, found I had to put my truck 3/4s of the way in the lake. No gravel on ramp. Very shallow and terrible ramp. After all these permits have been paid, I would think Louisa county would at least put gravel down and dig a trench for boats to launch safely and easily.

Nice quiet secluded lake. Water levels a little low at this time. Ramp is usable, good canoe area
