We had a wonderful stay and cannot say enough about the hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for—more like visiting friends than staying at an inn. We arrived on short notice as weary travelers, and the owners embraced us with such kindness and grace.

The food was excellent, the atmosphere was quiet and deeply relaxing, and every detail reflected thoughtful care. This is truly a wonderful place to "disconnect in order to reconnect" and It was exactly the restful experience we needed. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and truly appreciated. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great hospitality, comfort, and a place that feels like home.

Tip for future travelers: Take Exit 136 off I-64—it makes finding the inn quick and easy.

We were delighted to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary at such a stunning Christmas venue. The owner-operators, T and Jim, went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests. I highly recommend their exceptional 5-star personal dinner. My wife was absolutely thrilled when she saw our room. It was a beautifully redesigned original country kitchen with a gas fireplace. We are already planning our return.

We have stayed at Prospect Hill many times in the fall and have loved all of our time there.
This year we decided to go in December for an early Christmas celebration. It surpassed my five star fall experiences there. T and Jim had turned the beautiful plantation into a Christmas wonderland. The lights at night were spectacular. Every room was decorated with its own tree.
Aside from the beauty of the property, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had a picnic basket supper delivered to the room which was delicious. Our hosts T and Jim were accommodating to every need. We had an early flight and could not make breakfast so they packed us a breakfast to take with us.
If you are looking for a special place to stay, make your reservations at Prospect Hill Plantation.

What a great experience! The elders at my church surprised me with a gift certificate for Prospect Hill, and my wife and I used it to celebrate our 33rd anniversary. With snow looming, they called to see if we were still planning to come, or if we needed to reschedule. We made it there and everything was perfect. The room was a wonderful combination of old world charm and modern touches. The Christmas decorations created a perfect setting, and the personal service from the owners is off the chart. We will definitely be going back!

Me and my partner visited this inn while on our way to meet and friend for Thanksgiving as it was located close to our main destination, and let me add one more glowing review --- T and Jim are absolutely wonderful hosts, brimming with positive energy and inclusiveness, making all (myself and others in the inn) feel right at home. Within the first three minutes, after greeting us at the front door of the biggest building on the property and guiding us to the check-in desk, T made sure to offer us fresh baked cookies (a plus!), but more importantly, made us feel at ease and feel like friends, rather than guests, which for me, is exemplary service. There are two lovely dogs, Max and Gus (Big Gus), who are the sweetest! Gus really wanted to share his dog toy with us during the visit, and the inn is very clean and smelled very pleasant.

There is a pool (closed for the season, as it is cold and the like as of this review), and few monuments and memorials, a quiet trail to walk along with a little bit of water, great for clearing one's head or getting some of the fresh Louisa air, and the holiday decorations are out, giving things a nice and festive feeling! We stayed in the Terrill Room, a very cozy room with a very soft and luxurious bed (Queen sized), and had a small fridge with some refreshments to ourselves. The room offers a nice view of the property grounds (the front of the property) and the stylings of the bathroom and most of the objects/furniture is old and classy. Many of the buildings/things on the properties are old, so there are areas with low ceilings, for example (so people 6ft and above, watch your head!), but for me, it is very charming and combined with the friendly service, it feels a lot like home.

We had the bed and breakfast option as well, and all the kitchen staff were wonderful and courteous, attentive to our needs and questions. We had some nice chicken and waffles with hot honey, a parfait with assorted fruit and plain Greek yogurt. I had a latte and my partner had the popular Prospect Hill specialty coffee, which she loved. We also had cider, which tasted good as well. We had an old fashioned hot milk cake as dessert that tasted great (I would pair it with whipped cream, but it was tasty, as is). While the parking area is relatively small in the front, there is additional parking opposite of the front parking area. With lots of benches and things like hammocks and various outdoor sitting areas on hills, fire pits, so on and so forth, there are various nice amenities for various people and I imagine things are nice when it is warmer, with groups sitting outside and chatting and the like.

All in all, Prospect Hill Inn is a wonderful place with wonderful people and the warmth of the people, as well as the service, equal an outstanding experience! I strongly recommend anyone to visit, especially if you are visiting family, friends, or out sightseeing!

My husband surprised me with a birthday weekend at Prospect Hill Inn, and it could not have been more perfect. The proprietors, T and Jim, were exceptional in every way. Jim is an incredible chef—our dinner at the inn was outstanding, and every breakfast throughout the weekend was delicious and beautifully prepared. T was wonderfully warm and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed to feel relaxed and cared for. The grounds are beautiful with lovely walking paths.
Prospect Hill Inn is truly a special place, thanks to the people who run it. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Prospect Hill last week so we could visit with nearby friends. From the time I booked by phone with T, I felt it was going to be a great stay. My husband and I, along with our dog, stayed 3 nights in the Overseer cottage. It was perfect and cozy. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was a good size, including a large walk in shower. A picnic lunch was provided for my husband one day when I was out all day with my friend. Jim makes a wonderful breakfast every morning and there are Kerig machines if you can’t wait for breakfast. The grounds are lovely and we can’t wait to return next year. Thank you Jim and T!
