We love coming to Small Country for Halloween Camping. We are a large group and have always managed to get together in the same area. This is a family-owned campground, and you are treated like family. The weekend is full of activities and of course everyone's favorite the haunted house.

I love the campground! The ppl aren't as friendly as I am used to in Va. I'm a traving nurse and was the only black female or person out there and they stole my hammock and stand they also stole a tub of stuff for my dog. One family was real nice to me and the owners were nice. I just don't think they are too used to black ppl coming to Louisa campgrounds. I'm now in north 340 and everyone is friendly. Overall a nice place to camp and bathrooms were clean.

One of our favorite campgrounds especially if you have some younger campers with you.

It's crazy how this place will allow tents. It won't allow a $50,000 RV in there. I think it's a little discrimination , and if I can tell by looking at a few of the pictures, there's trailers in there, older than in 2007 !! Ten out of ten I do not recommend

Three groups of us picked this campground to meet at due to its location to lots of wineries, breweries, and distiliieries. We arrived around 4:30pm (check in was available at 2pm) and check in was very fast and easy. Staff at office was very friendly and helpful. We made our way to our pull through site, Gold 6, and found it very unlevel. It took us quite some time adjusting the trailer forward and back, side to side, just to find the least unlevel spot on the site that would enable us to set up. Good thing I had lots of extra blocks to assist, but it definitely added some time in the setup process (be sure you have what you need for these situations). Once we finally got level and setup we loved our spot, with lots of shade and plenty of room. The campground and facilities were clean. If you need to use the bathhouse after dark you will definitely need a flashlight, there are no lights whatsoever around the campground, not even on the bathhouse, and it is pitch dark....so make sure you know where it is ahead of time. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here and would likely stay here again, but a little work on leveling the sites better would go a long way.
