Toby is the best cookie guy around! His cookies are always fresh, delicious, and even got a weekly subscription. Great variety, creative flavors, and super convenient—highly recommend for anyone who loves treats!

I’m not exaggerating when I say that the brown butter chocolate chip cookies at The Bearded Bakery might just be the best I’ve ever had in my life.

From the moment you open the box, that warm, buttery, straight-from-the-oven aroma hits you and instantly makes you feel at home. love these cookies so much, I couldn’t resist signing up for the weekly subscription — now they’re a highlight of my week!

And I have to mention Toby — the kindest owner you could imagine. He greets every customer like an old friend, taking the time to chat and share a smile. You can tell he genuinely cares about the customers he serves. His passion for what he does isn’t just about baking — it’s about making people feel welcome and cared for.

Me and my daughter decided to drive out to give this place a try. We drove 35 minutes one way just to get there and initially couldn't find it. I had tried calling numerous times but couldn't get an answer. However, when we arrived I was able to get someone to answer and confirm we were in the right place. I explained that we had driven over 30 minutes to find them which he didn't comment on. He didn't say anything about being closed and the hours online say he is open until 6pm. The sign on the door said open but the door was locked. I tried calling the number back and it then went straight to voicemail like he had either taken it off the hook or turned his phone off. You really should edit your business hours or at least let someone know you are closed. Completely wasted trip in addition to your location looking trashed. Broken tables and debris all around your store front. Not a very reputable looking business. Ended up heading to Mary's Mountain Cookies in Orange, VA instead which were extreme nice and had a super clean, nice looking shop.

Encountered his stand at a nearby farm and purchased a mixed box. The cookies are huge and taste delicious. You can tell these are high quality and not sugar bombs. Absolutely recommend checking their cookies out!

Hi- I don’t leave reviews frequently but I wanted to offset some negative reviews. I just met the owner on his way back from the farmers market while he visited a friend at a local shop. He was so friendly and passionate about his cookies. He’s been baking with his mother and grandmother since he was 2 years old. He was talking about nearly selling out and I asked what he had left. I bought a single cookie and wow!! Blueberry lemon cheesecake-based cookie. Quite amazing. Definitely a thick cookie and gooey, but I love it that way! I haven’t been to the cafe, but definitely bring a little patience and joy wherever you go and life is good. Imagine trying a new experience of opening a cafe and being a small business owner. It’s scary, takes a lot of courage and hope, and hard work. People make mistakes and need to work out the kinks.

Super small sitting area, cookies are gross and raw in the middle, took and took me an hour and a half to get one cookie

I don't know how to leave a comment so here is my reply

I understand that you mentioned the seating was for the other restaurant you were connected with, but there were still people standing both inside and outside, trying to get a cookie, so it was quite crowded. Additionally, for you to say that my cookie wasn’t raw is not accurate—three people who tried my cookie confirmed that it was indeed raw. Furthermore, your claim that it didn’t take an hour and a half to get a cookie is also misleading. I arrived on opening day right when you opened, and it took about 20 minutes for you to take my order. You advertised cookies that my mom and I wanted, but you didn’t have them available. I ended up ordering something else, while my mom didn’t order anything, and it ended up taking over an hour to receive that one cookie.

As a First time customer my experience was not good. Went in and was told by owner, Toby that the cookies were coming out of the oven and they needed to cool about 5 minutes. No problem I'll wait. His friends and family came in after me and ordered same cookies. While I'm still waiting and I went to counter to pay he said he only had 3 left. I was First to order and was given service last after his friends and family.
As a First time customer I will not be going back. His friends and family will also support him. He needs the rest of the community for support. He won't have mine or my friends and family. Plus after all that his cookies were just regular not special. And not worth $12.00 for 3 cookies.

Love love love Bearded Bakery. I have watched over the years as he has transitioned from home baker to having his shop with Doshiers! Then and now these cookies are high quality and are well priced. Grand opening coming soon!
