Came in and asked to order to-go and was brushed off to the bartender(not uncommon) bartender was pleasant, Spent $85 for sides (salad and mashed potatoes since we were renting an Airbnb for the weekend) had to bag my own order. Even with the service being meh I tipped $6 for the “inconvenience” of taking my order.

We've been there many times for lunch and dinner. Many types of food. Never had anything bad. My favorite are crab Mac and cheese and taco salad.

We found the Cove by accident and saw all these vehicles pulling on the grass.
The place was packed but still had room for us. The food was great and we had take home. We even bought a round for the staff. -
I rarely complain about restaurants or service because I know how much goes on behind the scenes, and I understand that turnover is part of the industry. That said, the gentleman behind the bar during our recent visit was incredibly rude. For us to spend our one date night at what used to be our favorite spot and be treated that way (as soon as we walked in) was disappointing, to say the least.
What made it worse is that the owner was present and seemed to accept this behavior. After he dropped off our drinks with a crappy attitude the bartender literally disappeared. Like- I’m sorry to inconvenience you?! I miss Amanda so much! She was always on point and seemed like she was happy to see us when we came in.
We’ve been customers for years, and this is the first time we’ve ever regretted spending our time here. Thankfully, another bartender eventually stepped in and saved the day because we would have left otherwise. Honestly, the bartenders have always been the reason we came back, even in the slow winter months. Fingers crossed The Cove figures it out, because we’d hate to see such a longtime favorite lose its way.
